Explore the vibrant history, culture, and natural beauty of Curaçao on this tour designed especially for cruise passengers visiting Willemstad. This half-day excursion combines cultural landmarks, scenic views, and a relaxing beach stop.
We start off our tour in the Otrobanda district of Willemstad, where your IRIE guide will point out and explain all the highlights of this culturally rich area. Take a short scenic walk through the recently revived Frederikstraat, a street now known for its colorful murals and vibrant street art, perfect for photos.
From there, we drive through the colorful district of Scharloo, a former Jewish neighborhood known for its colonial architecture and creative flair, as we make our way to Landhuis Chobolobo, home of the famous Genuine Curaçao Liqueur. Here, you’ll have time to explore, enjoy a tasting, and pick up a unique souvenir.
Our next stop is Fort Waakzaamheid, a historic fort dating back to 1803 that offers panoramic views of Willemstad, the harbor, and your cruise ship.
We then visit Parke di Lucha di Libertad, a park honoring the fight for freedom from slavery. After a brief stop, we continue toward the salt lake area, where you’ll have the chance to spot wild flamingos in their natural habitat and snap some memorable photos.
Our final stop is at Que Tapa Beach, a nice way to relax and take in a bit of Curaçao’s coastal charm before heading back. Enjoy the sun, sea, and sand, or simply unwind in the shade with a refreshing breeze.
Afterward, we’ll return to your ship or drop you off in the city center, depending on your preference.
