Discover Curaçao’s historic city center, where Dutch heritage meets current artistic development to form a beautiful balance between the old and new. Enjoy beautiful vistas and a short beach break, on this tour developed especially for cruise ship passengers visiting Willemstad.
We start off our tour in the Otrobanda district of Willemstad, where your IRIE guide will point out and explain all the highlights of this part of the city. Take a short scenic walk to photograph murals and street art in the recently revived area of Frederikstraat.
We continue to make our way to Landhuis Chobolobo, where the famous Genuine Curaçao Liqueur is made. On our way there, we will also pass the historic district of Scharloo, a former Jewish neighborhood, home to many historic buildings currently classified as monuments, and the reason why Curacao is listed on Unesco’s World Heritage List.
On arrival at Landhuis Chobolobo, take the self-guided tour, taste the delicious liqueurs and buy some souvenirs to take back home.
Head to Fort Waakzaamheid, this fort dates back to 1803 and is perfectly situated with a great view on the entrance of our harbor and coastline of Curacao. Take scenic pictures, with your ship in the background!
Next stop is Kokomo Beach, where you can enjoy beautiful snorkeling or just relax at the beach restaurant. On our way to the beach, we will also stop at the salt-lake to spot wild flamingos.
Back on the bus, enjoy a special local refreshment, while we make our way back to the city. The last stop and photo opportunity is at the Parke di Lucha di Libertad, a park dedicated to the fight for freedom from slavery.
After this stop, a short drive will take you back to your ship or we can drop you off in the city center.
Please note that we do not provide pick-up services for this tour. The meeting location is at the cruise ship terminal.
